Thorong Phedi (4,540 m) has no cell signal on either NTC or Ncell. Wifi at the lodges is intermittent at best.
We tested the September 2026 build of Lekaly with the device in airplane mode for 36 continuous hours. Every waypoint card, permit fee, HRA contact, and saved variant rendered without a network call. The only feature that asked for connectivity was the optional weather-overlay pill on the map, which falls back to a cached forecast.
