The ACAP permit counter at Besisahar updated its fee schedule on 12 March 2026. The foreigner tier moved from NPR 3,000 to NPR 3,500. SAARC nationals now pay NPR 1,000 (was NPR 700). Nepali nationals remain at NPR 100.

The TIMS card requirement is unchanged: NPR 2,000 for individual trekkers, NPR 1,000 if booked through a TAAN-licensed agency. You still need both. The Lekaly app reflects this within 48 hours of the gazette notification.

What this means at the counter

Bring exact change — the counter does not accept cards and only stocks small denominations until 10:00. Photocopies of passport bio page and visa are mandatory; do not rely on phone copies.
